Information You Choose to Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, telephone number, or address, goes to the outside provider that supplies the results. Provo People Search does not retain its own copy of those queries. If you send a message, we receive the details you include and use them to answer that contact.
Information Collected Automatically
Hosting systems normally log an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and visit time. Aggregated log data helps diagnose errors and show which resources are useful. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic traffic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How the Information Is Used
The limited information above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell a visitor list or assemble individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Government portals, Utah County offices, court systems, library catalogs, and outside search tools each publish their own privacy terms. Information sent to one of those services is controlled by that service, not this policy. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results supplied by an outside company.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support vendors may process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information already described. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise distribute visitor data.
Our Security Practices
An encrypted connection protects data in transit. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated functions. Since Provo People Search has no user accounts, it stores no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights vary with residence and applicable law. The Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, provides covered consumers with access, deletion, portability, and certain opt-out rights within its scope. Publicly available information is excluded from its personal-data definition, so the Act does not erase deeds or court histories. Use the Contact page for data held in our mailbox or logs. Provo, Utah County, Utah agencies, courts, and outside providers control their own records and removal processes.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted here. Using Provo People Search after an update means you accept the version then in effect.
